The average person will move 12 times in their lifetime.

Many people underestimate the amount of stuff they need when they move in, but there are many essentials that can help make your move-in day much easier. Here are 3 examples of ways you can make your move more efficient and ensure your new condo is set up to maximize space.

Make Sure Your Stuff is Protected For The Move

Here are a few things you can do to ensure your precious belongings are protected for the move:

- Pack your fragile items first.

- Wrap each item with packing paper to prevent any damage.

- Pack appropriately for items with liquids, such as shampoo, nail polish remover, and cleaning supplies.

- Take your time when packing your condo furniture with condo life features; use lots of blankets around the bottom of the couch and be sure not to stack heavy boxes on top of them.

Unpack Your Essentials and Store Your Not So Essentials

After you get all of your condo furniture unpacked, Make sure you have a plan for all of your condo necessities and furniture that goes into a condo. Do not pack anything away or store anything in a way that will cause items to be damaged and make sure you know where the seasonal decorations are stored.

Find condo appropriate furniture

A condo is a place of comfort and independence, but it's also one that needs some TLC. There is plenty of condo-appropriate furniture on the market, but here are a few tips to ensure you're not going for a style that won't be as functional as it should be.

- Determine what your condo living space will be used for by sitting down and listing out all activities.

- If you'll use your condo bedroom mainly as an office, make sure to invest in a desk instead of a bed!

- If you don't have a kitchen table or dining table, consider installing a breakfast bar or console table.
